A company headquarted in Poland and with an aaffliate in Austria. Transhut is a Polish company providing national and international transport and freight services. It started operating in 1998 and specialises in the transport of food, mainly meat products, across the European Union and Eastern Europe. Three years ago, the company opened its affliation in Vienna – the first outside its home country.
From the very beginning, the company has been focused on reliability and timely delivery. At the same time, Transhut’s priority is to achieve the highest working standard. All drivers are equipped with the certifications and medical documentation (e.g. epidemiological) necessary to transport fast-moving goods.
Reduction of fuel consumption The company was looking for a solution that would support its expansion to the European market by shortening transport time, while improving safety and effciency of the fleet. In order to optimise costs, Transhut turned to Webfleet and has been using our solution for more than a year and half.
More recently, the fleet managers used Webfleet to verify if the installation of new, fuel saving tyres from Bridgestone on one of its trailers would reduce fuel consumption.
Purchase of fuel-saving tyres, based on data from Webfleet The test was carried out over 6 months, on one set (Scania truck, Schmitz cooling trailer) operated by the same driver and on comparable routes. For the first 2,5 months, the trailer was equipped with R168+ tyres. Then they were replaced by the latest model – Ecopia H-Trailer 002.
