IT and networking specialist ISG technology has slashed admin time by 100 per cent thanks to an investment in TomTom fleet management technology.
The Surrey-based firm, which operates five service delivery centres throughout the UK, successfully saved 12 hours of admin per month after introducing TomTom's fleet management solution across its 59-strong fleet.
Driver behaviour monitoring and job dispatch functionality have also enabled ISG technology to deliver a significant boost to efficiency in terms of both fuel usage and workflow management.
‘Not only are we able to download data at the touch of a button, the information is far more comprehensive than previous systems and much easier to use’ said Evgeniya Vukova, ISG technology Finance Administrator. ‘We have saved 12 hours of admin time per month.’
Prior to implementing TomTom's technology, ISG technology was forced to endure long download times whenever they attempted to access data on working hours and mileage.
Now, bespoke reports can be generated instantly by the WEBFLEET online fleet management dashboard, providing the necessary information at the touch of a button.
Using TomTom's LINK tracking unit and PRO navigation device in conjunction with WEBFLEET, ISG technology has also streamlined job dispatch, integrating the new system with existing service desk technology Tesseract.
This means the nearest and most appropriate engineer can be selected for each job, while live traffic updates ensure customers can be provided with accurate ETAs. The resultant time savings have helped to improve productivity and enhance the overall customer service experience.
Furthermore, TomTom's ecoPLUS device has allowed ISG technology to get a handle on fuel consumption before taking further measures to reduce its cost through driver behaviour monitoring.
OptiDrive has enabled management to generate a profile for each driver based on four key elements of safe and efficient driving – speeding, driving events, idling and fuel consumption – making it easy to identify which drivers are not driving economically and implement the appropriate training to address any problems.
