TomTom Business Solutions has launched a new initiative to help software and hardware vendors to enhance the value of their solutions by integrating fleet management data.
The .connect Partner Programme will provide technology suppliers with development support and resources to create integrations with TomTom’s award-winning WEBFLEET platform.
Business applications, such as CRM, ERP and planning and scheduling software, can make use of the real-time and historical information from the vehicle and mobile workforce, offering greater value to the end user. This added functionality allows companies to work more efficiently, realising substantial business benefits.
“TomTom's .connect Partner Programme is the first of its kind in the industry, allowing customers to unlock greater potential from the connected vehicle through convergence with other business solutions” said Thomas Schmidt, TomTom Business Solutions' Managing Director.
“By taking this strategic step, we aim to expand TomTom’s range of partner applications, providing businesses with powerful tools for optimising operational efficiency. It will also act as a springboard for partners to increase the market potential for their products”
TomTom’s open LINK.connect API enables added functionality – in and around the vehicle – through seamless integration with third-party hardware such as mobile printers, barcode scanning devices or temperature sensors. A standard, single interface, WEBFLEET.connect, allows data to be transferred to office applications and enables partners to make fully scalable solutions.
By joining the programme, partners will receive development support, API keys and access to a wealth of technical resources. Partners will also benefit from valuable marketing support – including a showcasing on TomTom’s online App Center, which reveals available connected business applications to a global market.
Professionals wishing to sign up to .connect Partner Progamme can do so here.
