TomTom Telematics, the European market leader in fleet management solutions, has won the Fleet Innovation Award for its OptiDrive 360. OptiDrive 360– a complete approach enabling drivers to adopt a responsible driving style– was awarded the Fleet Innovation Award, because the advantages for companies reach beyond solely cost reduction. “OptiDrive 360 makes your fleet drive greener and safer and drivers experience less stress behind the wheel”, according to the press release published on Link2Fleet’s website.
The award was presented on June 18th 2015, during the Link2Fleet Awards, a respected fleet management event in Belgium, set up with partners like Total, Audi and Volkswagen.
According the jury report the jury praised, among other things, fact the application ensures efficient routing and is suitable for all types of fleets of both large and small cars and vans. The jury is also positive about the fact that TomTom Telematics’ OptiDrive 360 can be deployed with its default settings, but is also extensively customizable.
OptiDrive 360 was launched April 2015 and offers important insights to fleet managers and drivers alike. For example, OptiDrive 360 offers immediate feedback to drivers before, during and after their trip. Drivers driving responsibly reduce fuel consumption, maintenance costs and insurance premium for their employer; all in all lowering the total cost of ownership. OptiDrive 360 reinforces the collaboration between employer and drivers, in order to structurally change the driving style of the latter.
“This innovation is the result of extensive client experience and years of research & development in collaboration with the EU ecoDriver Project,”, said Jeroen Groenendijk of TomTom Telematics. “We are very proud to see all of our efforts rewarded with such a prestigious prize.”
