London, 23 October 2015
TomTom Telematics has been named winner of the IT Innovation Award at the 2015 UK GreenFleet Awards.
The accolade was presented for OptiDrive 360 – a solution for the company’s WEBFLEET fleet management platform that provides real-time feedback and advice to improve driving performance and adapt a responsible driving style.
OptiDrive 360 was also commended in the Industry Innovation Award category while customer SGN received a commendation in the Driver Training Initiative of the Year category, based on the implementation of TomTom Telematics’ technology.
“OptiDrive 360 is part of an ongoing operational drive to create lasting change in driving standards across a workforce,” said Giles Margerison, Sales Director UK and Ireland for TomTom Telematics.
“TomTom Telematics is always striving to improve the green credentials of its customers so we are delighted to see that the work and commitment involved in developing our technology has been acknowledged.”
OptiDrive 360 uses vehicle and map data to provide professional drivers with predictive, real-time driving advice. It also provides pre-trip guidance and post-trip analysis, scoring drivers on a range of key performance indicators, including speeding, harsh steering and braking, idling, and gear shifting.
The award comes hot on the heels of TomTom Telematics’ recent success at the Brake Fleet Safety Awards where OptiDrive 360 was named Best Fleet Safety Product and the company picked up the Fleet Safety Innovation Award for its overall achievements in improving road safety.
