Lower costs and simplified connectivity: Direct FMS
- What is Direct FMS?
- Direct FMS is an additional bookable service for HCVs (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) to simplify connectivity and enable FMS features.
- Who is it for?
- A HCV fleet owner who wants to benefit from FMS-based metrics but doesn’t want to invest in additional hardware or OEM FMS activation.
- How does it work?
- A LINK 740 connects to the CAN bus of the HCV. This enables the required data to be sent directly to Webfleet.
The LINK 740 will be connected to the vehicle CAN bus in a non-intrusive connection using one or two LINK CAN Sensor (LCS 100) accessories.
- What FMS features can you get in Webfleet?3
- OptiDrive 360
Driving performance insight that encourages greener, safer and more efficient driving. - Fuel level, consumption and warnings
Real-time visibility of the fuel gauge and consumption status, helping to reduce fuel costs and detect abnormal fuel loss or theft. - VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
Identifies the vehicle among business systems or workshops. - Real odometer (rather than GPS-based value)
Accurate reporting of trip distances and service maintenance. - PTO (Power Take-Off)
Confirms whether or not the job is being done with on/off status and traced points on the map. - AdBlue level
Real-time visibility of the DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) tank to avoid penalties for running without AdBlue. - Engine hours
Shows the accumulated time that the engine of a vehicle or machine has been running. - Cruise control
On/off status and traced points on the map help you train drivers to engage cruise control. - Automated maintenance tasks
Notifications when maintenance is needed based on service distance and AdBlue level.
