From October 1st 2020, please do not download or use any documents with a TomTom Telematics reference!
We are excited to inform you that a brand new Partner Portal will be launched in the upcoming weeks where only most recent, updated files will be available.
A unique integrated software solution powered by TomTom Telematics' open platform technology, has been launched to support sustainable car sharing operations across Europe.
IT and vehicle networks specialist AttainIT has partnered with TomTom Telematics to integrate car booking software and electric car battery data with the TomTom WEBFLEET fleet management system, helping electric car-sharing companies to manage their vehicle fleet more efficiently.
The technology, which was pioneered following last year’s inaugural TomTom Telematics .connect Developer Conference, has already been successfully adopted by software integrator Be Smart for an electric car-sharing scheme across Italy.
The scheme allows Be Smart customers to rent electric cars by the minute using a mobile app, picking up and dropping off vehicles at specified city centre points and free floating areas in Naples and Milan.
Using TomTom Telematics’ open API platform to access electric vehicle data and integrate with ERP software, the system allows Be Smart to check remaining battery power in each car, activate cars remotely, track their location and monitor journey information for accurate billing.
‘This is a strong example of how the .connect Partner Programme can open doors to exciting new product opportunities, bringing software entrepreneurs and industry fleet operators closer together’ commented Taco van der Leij, VP Marketing, TomTom Telematics. ‘By offering an open platform, we want to drive product innovation and create opportunities not just for ourselves but for our partners and customers too.’
“This year’s .connect Developer Conference on the 9th of June is designed to encourage more collaboration and promises to push the boundaries of integration even further. The conference will help to inspire anyone with a clear vision of the future from entrepreneurial start-ups and established software vendors to large corporate customers with proactive internal IT departments.
AttainIT will be presenting their case study with BeSmart at the event.
Developers and IT professionals interested in attending the .connect Developer Conference 2015 can register at http://www.webfleet.com/ttdc15
