Paperless workflow boosts efficiency for Fred Sherwood Group

London, September 28 2016
Fred Sherwood Group has boosted productivity, efficiency and customer service after implementing a paperless workflow system.

The bulk freight specialist is using TomTom WEBFLEET in order to better manage job scheduling and dispatch. An integration with IBM Sterling Order Management means daily schedules are automatically optimised according to order priority and expected journey times, with daily workflow sent directly to employees’ TomTom driver terminals, including directions to each job.

The deal came as a result of the collaboration between TomTom Telematics and Shell UK Oil Products. euroShell fuel card data is integrated into the WEBFLEET platform, making fuel transactions and fuel management information available for users in one system.

Fred Sherwood Group also uses WEBFLEET to report on driver behaviour and tachograph data – including a live view on daily and weekly remaining driving time for each driver, to help ensure they remain compliant with working time regulations.

Ashley Sherwood, Director of the Fred Sherwood Group, said: By bringing together data from a number of different sources into one platform, we have been able to change the way we work. WEBFLEET provides a live overview on a range of key areas, including workflow, driver behaviour, fuel spend and tachograph compliance, helping us to change the way we work and reduce administration.

We are now able to better manage our drivers’ time, helping them to become more productive, and provide customers with more accurate updates on order progress.
