Concord, MA, April 8, 2011
TomTom Business Solutions, the division dedicated to commercial fleets, today unveiled a new navigation solution for the North American market designed to help businesses improve their productivity. The PRO 9150 is a portable fleet management solution that requires no installation and can be moved easily among vehicles in a fleet. With improved route guidance and real-time traffic updates with TomTom HD Traffic, the PRO 9150 will help drivers save time on the road.
“The PRO 9150 brings a unique offering to the market by combining navigation, GPS tracking and work-order communication in an easy to use, portable solution. Businesses can rely on a complete fleet management solution and the flexibility to quickly deploy the devices across vehicles as needed,” said Michael Geffroy, vice president of sales, North America for TomTom Business Solutions.
“The addition of TomTom HD Traffic to our solution represents a revolution in real-time traffic information that further empowers businesses with superior driving intelligence to help them reach more customers every day,” added Geffroy.
TomTom HD Traffic
The connected PRO 9150 features powerful LIVE services* and is the first device for commercial fleets to offer the award-winning TomTom HD Traffic, the most accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date traffic solution available. With TomTom HD Traffic, fleet drivers can spend less time in traffic and get to their destination faster.
By capturing and reporting more actual traffic jams, TomTom HD Traffic provides the most accurate reporting to help drivers avoid delays and better plan their arrival times. TomTom HD Traffic recognizes traffic conditions for all major and secondary roads within the U.S. road network, and by delivering real-time traffic updates every two minutes, drivers will steer clear of traffic sooner.
PRO 9150 and WORKsmart
The PRO 9150 works with the TomTom WORKsmart solution to deliver vehicle tracking, job dispatch, time management, eco driving and management reporting tools via a WEBFLEET subscription. WORKsmart's real-time dispatch features allow dispatchers and drivers to communicate seamlessly through work status messages, reports on closest drivers to a customer, and instant delivery of customer addresses to drivers. Additionally, reporting features allow drivers to log time on site at jobs, as well as both private and business miles.
Availability
The new TomTom PRO 9150 will be made available in North America in Q2 2011 via authorized business partners.
The PRO 9150 also offers connectivity to allow for easy fleet management and access to LIVE Services*, which give drivers access to Speed Cameras, Local Search, Fuel Prices and TomTom Weather. LIVE Services require a subscription to WEBFLEET.
*End users will receive non-transferable data, such as TomTom HD Traffic, through the length of their LIVE services subscription, or until TomTom no longer receives such data from its suppliers, whichever occurs first. Details and terms at www.tomtom.com/legal.
