Amsterdam, 8 September 2016
For the second year in a row, TomTom Telematics has been recognized as Europe’s largest and most innovative provider of fleet management solutions by one of the leading M2M/IoT market analyst firms, Berg Insight.
The results were confirmed in the recently published 11th edition of the Berg Insight Fleet Management in Europe report.
Johan Fagerberg, CEO at Berg Insight commented: “The European fleet management market has continued its rapid growth through 2016, driven by an increasing understanding of the business benefits the connected vehicle can bring to organizations. We expect that there will be more than 6.2 million active telematics units in Europe by the end of 2016, with around 1.8 million units being sold this year. TomTom Telematics has been very successful at capitalizing on this and has experienced solid revenue growth year-on-year. The company’s innovative telematics solutions for commercial vehicles have been instrumental in helping grow its subscriber base over the past few years and the company is now the largest provider of fleet management solutions in the European market.”
“It’s a fantastic achievement for us as a company to be recognized by Berg Insight two years in a row, and is testament to our focus on continuous innovation and developing our partner program,” said Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director at TomTom Telematics. “In the past 12 months we have announced a number of new alliances and integrations, which introduce our business to new customer segments and strengthen our ambitions to support the fleet industry in its digital transformation.”
